The organization was established in 1980 and has emerged as a leading provider of logistical services providing continuous flow of door to door delivery of goods in the world through a combination of its global road transport services, sea and air transport. It also provides warehousing services.

ISO 9001:2008

Excellence model this organization has implemented is the ISO 9001:2008, which is a standard provided by the International Organization for Standardization. It is a standard that is accepted worldwide.  This standards focus on enhancement of quality management systems focusing on provision of quality service to customers.

Evaluation

The evaluation will seek to estimate how the organization Al Futtaim Logistics has implemented the quality management principles espoused by ISO 9001:2008. It will also evaluate outcomes that the organization has realized through implementation of the quality management systems. Various authoritative sources of literature will be used to provide data on the quality management systems at the organization.
